Sponza palace – the venue of all venues

Sponza palace, one of Dubrovnik’s main highlights was built in the 16th century
in Gothic-Renaissance style. In the same century Dubrovnik Republic has
entered its golden era and Sponza served as a mint while remaining the most
vital commercial center of the city.

Today, the palace is a home of the Dubrovnik archives, considered to be among the richest in Europe.
It’s impressive Courtyard makes for an unforgettable event whether it’s a big
glamorous wedding or a smaller intimate ceremony. Sponza is a venue that
makes you feel special on your most important day.
The Venetian style courtyard offers countless possibilities. Right after the
ceremony It can easily be transformed into a beautiful reception with dinner
under the stars. With our hand picked vendors: caterers, decorators, florists and
musicians, you can take your wedding on a new level. On the other hand, the
elegant Courtyard might be a perfect solution for your vow renewal, symbolic or
a civil wedding or an ever so popular elopement.

We were recently honored to welcome Rebecca and Bradley from Chicago. They
arrived to Dubrovnik right after their big glamorous wedding in the US, looking
for something completely new and different in Dubrovnik. They found us while
they were searching for a Dubrovnik wedding planner and shared all of their
wishes for a destination wedding of their dreams.

There wasn’t really a lot of discussion about the venue since they both knew
they wanted to have the wedding ceremony in the famous courtyard. Rebecca
had a vision from the start and that was a very simplistic and relaxed symbolic
ceremony for only her closest family and friends.

In terms of florals and decor she didn’t want to repeat the same glamorous
wedding she already had and instead opted for all white flowers and a very
clean aesthetic. With the cello player, violinist and her favorite local
photographer Rebecca and Bradley celebrated their eternal love in a unique
way. They wanted the ambience to be very casual but celebratory at the same
time with a champagne tower. After the ceremony they had a special toast and
a photo shoot on the first floor just above the courtyard.
After a special few hours in Sponza they went to Posat restaurant for an elegant
dinner with a view of the city walls and the western gate Pile.

Once again, memories were made in Sponza and we wish Rebecca and Bradley all the
best!
